Mental arithmetic is an educational tool that helps to develop concepts and skills related to numbers and operations on them. It is a mental process represented in the mental activity that the learner performs when he interacts with the experiences, situations and events he encounters in order to organize experience, realize it, absorb and develop it, and it also develops the mental processes of numbers and strategies used to address them. Mental arithmetic is the ability to find the result of an arithmetic operation without using pen and paper, or other arithmetic aids
