Ebtikar Association for the Development of Creativity leads the Jordanian teams to the world for the fifth year in a row.
Three Jordanian teams win first places in the international Loma competition organized by Loma Finland Center (Science, Technology and Mathematics Education Network in Finnish Universities) and organized by the Ebtikar Association for the Development of Creativity, the representative of the Center in Jordan, in cooperation with the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the College of Science at the University of Jordan and the Ministry of Education. Assembly winning teams at the national level to the international level.
The list of grand prize winners for this year in the best educational practices category included:
Zarqa University Schools in the Planetarium School Project,
And Omariya Schools for the project to integrate engineering designs into STEAM education for the year 2020.
Grand Prize in the Student Projects Category:
International Standards Schools project aluminum carry-over ratio for food during cooking from different forms of aluminum.
The teams were honored at an honoring ceremony held at the annual Loma Conference in Finland on June 13-16. The teams gave presentations about their projects on the second day of the conference, and the Ebtikar Association for the Development of Creativity gave a presentation on its experience in supporting education and innovation in a special session at the conference, in addition to a training workshop in the field of electronics and light for students who won the competition globally.
It is worth mentioning that the Ebtikar Association for the Development of Creativity has been organizing the competition annually in Jordan since 2019 after winning the grand prize in this competition for its project “The Continuous Future Scientists from the year 2014. Projects until the moment of organizing the exhibition, which is organized by the association in cooperation with the University of Jordan, evaluation teams from the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, university professors and experts from the association and the Ministry of Education.
This competition aims to support innovation and creativity in the field of science, technology and mathematics and to disseminate best educational practices within the framework of an integrative approach to teaching around the world.
